Amrit Udyan to open from Feb 2: Check timing, slots to visit Mughal Gardens

The iconic Amrit Udyan at Rashtrapati Bhavan, previously known as the Mughal Gardens, will open its gates to the public for the spring season from February 2 to March 30, 2025.

Large crowds are drawn when Amrit Udyan opens for a brief period of time once a year. People explore its meticulously landscaped gardens and vibrant blooms, which provide a serene escape in the heart of the capital.

The President's Secretariat on Monday notified that visitors can explore the vibrant gardens six days a week, except on Mondays, which are reserved for maintenance.


Citizens can visit the gardens from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the President's office said.

Special closure days
The Udyan will remain closed on the following dates:

• February 5: Due to polling for the Delhi Legislative Assembly
• February 20-21: For the Visitors’ Conference at Rashtrapati Bhavan
• March 14: On account of Holi

Amrit Udyan: Which entry and exit to take?

Visitors can enter and exit through Gate No. 35 of the President’s Estate, located near North Avenue. For added convenience, a shuttle bus service will operate from the Central Secretariat Metro Station to Gate No. 35, running every 30 minutes from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Special access days:
Amrit Udyan will host special slots for specific groups:

• March 26: Differently-abled persons
• March 27: Personnel from defence, paramilitary, and police forces
• March 28: Women and tribal women’s Self-Help Groups (SHGs)
• March 29: Senior citizens

Booking Details
Entry to the garden is free of cost, and visitors can either pre-book their slots at visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in or opt for walk-in entry.

Special showcase: Vividhta ka Amrit Mahotsav
As part of this year’s celebrations, Rashtrapati Bhavan will host the Vividhta Ka Amrit Mahotsav from March 6 to 9, 2025, showcasing the rich cultural heritage and traditions of Southern India.
