On the concluding day of his visit to J&K, Shah undertook a comprehensive review of key sectors including road infrastructure, power, industry, tourism, and 4G and optical fibre connectivity. The meeting was attended by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Lieutenant Governor M+oj Sinha, the Union Home Secretary and senior officials from the UT and the Centre.
Shah also met BJP office-bearers, MLAs and MPs in Jammu, stating that the party would continue working to ensure last-mile delivery of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's development initiatives while expanding the organisation to realise the vision of a "Developed J&K, Secure J&K".
"Enthusiasm of tourists from across the country to visit J&K has not diminished... there is a need for aggressive marketing of J&K's tourist destinations in other states to explore the tourism potential available here. The Government of India will provide all possible assistance in the plan to develop new tourist destinations in J&K," Shah said at the review meeting.
