During his address at the passing out parade of IPS probationers at the National Police Academy in Hyderabad, Shah said, "The three laws were drafted around 1850. The parliament committee of the Home Ministry is going through it. In some time, these laws will be passed and on the basis of these laws our country's new criminal justice system will begin."
Shah added through these laws many changes have also been made in the justice system. He asked the officer trainees to move beyond 'reacting and responding' policing to 'preventive, predictive and proactive' policing and also to transform policing with time in the changing environment.
He further said, "When the nation celebrates its century of Independence, you'll be in the leadership positions in the police services after 25 years and holding the responsibility of the nation's internal security." Shah reviewed the passing-out parade of the 75than batch of IPS probationers at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy earlier today.
