BJP-led NDA government on Wednesday constituted Cabinet committees and inducted allies in the crucial panel on economic affairs, which meets more frequently. The government has added 'Livelihood' to the Cabinet Committee on Skill and Employment.

The allies have also been included in the committees on political affairs, parliamentary affairs, investment and employment.

Apart from the PM, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs comprises Singh, Shah, Sitharaman, Jaishankar, highways minister Nitin Gadkari, agriculture minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, steel minister HD Kumaraswamy (JDS) and panchayati raj minister Lalan Singh (JDU).

At the start of the Modi government's second term, SAD leader Harsimrat Kaur Badal was a CCEA member as food processing minister. After SAD and BJP parted ways over farmers' issues, no other ally was inducted in CCEA.

Allies have also been included in the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs - Lalan Singh, civil aviation minister K Rammohan Naidu (TDP) and micro, small and medium enterprises minister Jitan Ram Manjhi (HAM)

All committees, except the Cabinet Committee on Accommodation and Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs, are headed by the prime minister. There has been no change in the Cabinet Committee on Appointment, which decides on secretary-level appointments, with the PM and home minister as its members.

Allies are in almost all panels, except Cabinet committees on security, appointment and accommodation.
