Vijaypat Singhania, the former chairman of Raymond Group, has firmly denied speculations of reconciliation with his estranged son, Gautam Singhania, despite a recent viral photo showing them together.

In an exclusive interview with India Today TV, Vijaypat Singhania clarified the circumstances surrounding the photograph that circulated widely on social media platforms. He revealed that Gautam had invited him for a brief meeting under the pretext of sharing a cup of coffee.

"Gautam Singhania's assistant persistently urged me to visit their residence. Despite my initial reluctance, I eventually agreed. However, it became apparent that the purpose was to capture a photograph of us together," stated Vijaypat Singhania.

The photograph, shared by Gautam Singhania on social media, depicted a seemingly amicable moment between father and son, prompting speculation of a reconciliation. However, Vijaypat Singhania dismissed these notions, emphasizing that the meeting did not signify a resolution of their longstanding differences.

Expressing skepticism about Gautam's intentions, Vijaypat Singhania remarked, "I'm uncertain about the true motive behind the encounter. It certainly wasn't about reconciling our differences. This was my first visit to JK House in a decade, and I don't foresee a repeat."

The relationship between Vijaypat Singhania and Gautam soured following Vijaypat's relinquishment of his role as chairman of Raymond Group in 2015, handing over leadership to his son. Tensions escalated further in 2017 when Vijaypat Singhania alleged being deprived of a duplex at JK House, the family-owned property in South Mumbai.

The family saga gained public attention last November with Gautam Singhania and his wife, Nawaz Modi Singhania, announcing their separation. Subsequently, Nawaz accused Gautam of preventing her from attending a Diwali celebration and later accused him of physical abuse.
