The Centre Thursday said it will likely onboard by March next year all states that are not a part of the National Single Window System (NSWS), which provides a single platform for investors, entrepreneurs, and businesses to identify and obtain approvals.

"44,000+ approvals have been facilitated through NSWS and 28,000+ approvals are currently under process," commerce and industry ministry said in a statement. A review of the progress and status of NSWS is set to happen on December 5 with ministries, states and industry representatives.

The portal was launched last year and currently accepts applications for 248 G2B clearness from 26 central ministries/ departments, in addition to clearances in 16 states and UTs.


It seeks to reduce duplicity of information submission to different ministries, reduce compliance burden, promote sector specific reforms and schemes, reduce gestation period of projects, and promote ease of starting and doing business.

"It may be noted that the Know Your Approvals (KYA) service is live on NSWS with 544 approvals across 32 Central ministries/ departments and 2,895 approvals across 30 states and UTs. A total of 3439 approvals are listed.
