Yellow alert issued in Delhi
A “yellow alert” is put in place when the positivity rate for two consecutive days rises to more than 0.5% or if the cumulative single-day positive cases for a duration of seven days go beyond 1,500. Yellow alert enforces curbs such as night curfew, closure of educational institutions, halved seating capacity in transport facilities, etc., among other things.

The crux of the order
Under the new order, schools, cinema halls and gyms were shut in the capital. Spas, banquet halls, auditoriums and sports complexes were also closed with immediate effect. Shops in malls will be allowed to operate on an odd-even basis from from 10 am to 8 pm,the order said.

Public transport
Delhi Metro, restaurants and bars will operate at 50% capacity. Along with Metro, buses will also be operating at 50% of seating capacity. Both in the Metro and buses, no standing passengers will be allowed.

Gatherings
All large gatherings - political, social and religious - will remain prohibited for the duration of the order. Political, religious, festival-related gatherings won't be allowed. Religious places can stay open but visitors won't be allowed. Weddings are allowed with up to 20 people and they can take place only at home or in court. The 20-person limit also applies to funerals.
