Ajay Piramal to headline ET 40 Under Forty

Ajay Piramal, chairman of Piramal Group, will headline this year's ET 40 Under Forty event in Mumbai on Friday, bringing decades of entrepreneurial experience to a celebration of India's rising stars. The occasion marks the 12th edition of the coveted list.

Piramal, one of India's most respected business leaders and philanthropists, has built a diversified group spanning pharmaceuticals, financial services and real estate. He will deliver the keynote address at the event.

This will offer the young winners an opportunity to hear from a leader whose career has been shaped by bold decisions, long-term thinking and a belief that business can be a force for good.


Joining him as a distinguished guest will be chess grandmaster R Praggnanandhaa, among the most compelling young figures in global sport, who this year became the first Indian winner of Norway Chess. In a breakout 2026, he was the first Indian to capture the Grand Chess Tour, climbing to world number 8.
