After the meeting, High Commissioner Lindy Cameron said that UK and India are working together to establish the facts behind the accident and thanked first responders for their efforts.
"I met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi this morning. We shared condolences in the face of this tragic accident, and I offered my thanks for the work of tireless first responders here in Ahmedabad. The UK and India are working together to establish the facts," she posted on X after the meeting.
Earlier, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that he is in touch with counterparts from the UK, Portugal, and Canada - all countries with nationals onboard the flight.
