After Ram Mandir, here's Ayodhya's next big plan to become a global spiritual tourist hub

In a significant development, Ayodhya is poised to become a global spiritual tourist hub with extensive plans underway, including the construction of 13 new temples. The ambitious project, led by the Ram Janambhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, aims to enhance the spiritual allure of the region, featuring both internal and external temple structures. Treasurer Swami Gurudev Giriji, in an interview with NDTV, shed light on the ongoing progress of the projects, emphasizing the completion of the main temple.

Progress on Main Temple

The recently consecrated main temple, graced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, currently stands at its first floor. According to Swami Gurudev Giriji, work is underway on the second floor, a crucial step before the construction of the central dome or "shikhar." The intricate details of the five key temples dedicated to the Ram parivar, encompassing Lord Ganapati, Shiva, Surya, and Goddess Jagdamba, are also part of the comprehensive plan.


Diverse Temples Within the Complex

The four corners of the main temple will house the essential temples, symbolizing the divine presence of Lord Ram. Additionally, a separate temple devoted to Hanuman, revered as Lord Ram's greatest devotee, is also in progress. The meticulous work involves the installation of statues, followed by polishing and finishing touches.

Special Temples Surrounding the Main Complex

Beyond the confines of the main temple, an expansive area will host seven temples dedicated to individuals who played pivotal roles in Lord Ram's life. Swami Gurudev Giriji highlighted, "These would be for Saints Valmiki, Vashist, Vishwamitra, Devi Shavari, and the huge bird Jatayu, who laid down his life for Ram."

Inauguration and Devotee Response

The grand opening of the Ram Temple witnessed an overwhelming response from the devotees. Despite freezing weather conditions, hundreds of thousands flocked to Ayodhya to catch a glimpse of the revered deity. News agencies reported that approximately 3 lakh devotees participated in the prayers to Ram Lalla, as the "Pran Pratishtha" ceremony unfolded amid massive celebrations the previous day. Festivities reverberated not only in Ayodhya but also across the nation.
