After Mumbai, Bhopal, Goa, Nagpur, Kolkata and Jaipur airports, Delhi's Chacha Nehru Hospital receives bomb threat via email

A day after several bomb threats in Bhopal, Goa, Nagpur, Kolkata and Jaipur yesterday, Delhi's Chacha Nehru Hospital in Shahdara also received a bomb threat via email today. Three days ago Mumbai airport also received similar threat. One of the Chacha hospital's staff members alerted the authorities upon receiving the ominous email around 10 am. Subsequently, a comprehensive response was initiated, involving the Bomb Detection Team, Bomb Disposal Squad, Delhi Fire Service personnel, and local law enforcement.

In adherence to safety protocols, the premises were swiftly evacuated, and a thorough search operation commenced. Despite the diligent efforts, no suspicious items have been discovered thus far, officials confirmed.

This incident follows a series of similar threats reported across various parts of the country. Just a day prior, Raja Bhoj International Airport in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, was targeted with a similar email threat, sparking concerns among airport authorities.


In Goa, the security was heightened as per the precautionary measures at Dabolim airport in Goa. Despite receiving a bomb threat via email, flight operations remained unaffected, assured Dabolim Airport Director SVT Dhanamjaya Rao.

Similarly, Jaipur International Airport and Kolkata airport faced similar threats via email. Furthermore, Nagpur airport was subjected to intensive security checks following a bomb threat email, while the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata also underwent a thorough search operation.

In light of these incidents, authorities are maintaining vigilance and taking necessary precautions to ensure the safety and security of public spaces across the country. Investigations into the origins of these threats are underway, with law enforcement agencies committed to addressing such malicious attempts to disrupt normalcy.
