Kolkata: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a public rally in West Bengal's Durgapur on July 18, after six years and a few days ahead of Trinamool Congress' mega event July 21 Sahid Diwas.

This is the second public rally which will be addressed by the Prime Minister in West Bengal, after Alipurduar, in the run up to the 2026 assembly polls next year.

PM had addressed a public rally in Alipurduar on May 29, first in Bengal after Operation Sindoor.


BJP presently holds three Assembly seats in West Burdwan district.

BJP State President Samik Bhattacharya, Lo PSuvendu Adhikari, BJP former state Presidents Sukanta Majumdar and Dilip Ghosh will be present at the rally in Durgapur.
