Alipore Zilla Parishad Office Fire: South 24 Parganas building engulfed, firefighting underway

A fire broke out late on Tuesday night at the South 24 Parganas Zilla Parishad office near Alipore Court, prompting the deployment of multiple fire tenders to the site. Firefighters launched an operation to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading further.

According to eyewitnesses, the fire started at around 9:30 pm and rapidly spread to offices located on the third floor of the building. Thick smoke engulfed parts of the premises, triggering panic among employees present inside. Fire personnel managed to bring the blaze under control before the situation could worsen.

Eyewitness Shahnawaz told ANI, "The fire broke out around 9:30 pm and quickly spread to the third floor, affecting several department offices inside. Staff working inside were in panic as smoke filled the building. Fire services managed to bring the situation under control before it escalated further."


The situation is now under control.
