₹9,000 cr Tata Motors–Jaguar Land Rover plant opens in Tamil Nadu with 3 lakh vehicle capacity
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin inaugurated the new Tata Motors passenger vehicle and Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) manufacturing facility at SIPCOT, Panapakkam, Ranipet. The greenfield project is backed by an investment of Rs 9,000 crore (USD 994 million). The plant has already rolled out its first Land Rover car and has a production capacity of 3 lakh vehicles, marking the start of high-end vehicle manufacturing.
