Several historic landmarks across India have been illuminated ahead of Independence Day, enhancing their aesthetic appeal while respecting their historical significance. The Golconda Fort in Hyderabad, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in Mumbai, Delhi Secretariat, Bhopal’s Kushabhau Thackeray Convention Center, Mumbai International Airport, Calcutta High Court and Raj Bhavan in Kolkata, and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation headquarters in Mumbai are among the prominent structures that now shimmer with national pride.

In Hyderabad, the Golconda Fort, renowned for its architectural beauty, has been meticulously illuminated by Bajaj Electricals. The lighting not only enhances the fort's aesthetic appeal but also honors its historical importance. Several dynasties like the Kakatiyas, Bahmanis, Qutb Shahis, and Mughals have left their architectural imprints on the fort. The fort now stands out even more as a symbol of India's rich heritage and its journey to independence.

In Mumbai, the historic Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus glows with vibrant colored lights. This iconic railway station, a UNESCO World Heritage site, stands as a symbol of the city’s pride and heritage. The introduction of tricolor illumination ahead of Independence Day amplifies its grandeur.


"Several historic landmarks across the nation have been beautifully illuminated in preparation for Independence Day, adding to the festive spirit," said an official statement.

The Delhi Secretariat in the nation's capital has been lit up in saffron, white, and green. The grand building's vibrant display adds to the capital's festive atmosphere as it gears up to mark another year of independence.

Bhopal’s Kushabhau Thackeray Convention Center is another landmark that has been adorned with the tricolor. The illumination of this significant building in the heart of Madhya Pradesh showcases the city's participation in the nationwide celebrations.

Mumbai's International Airport joins the list of illuminated landmarks, now adorned in the colors of the national flag. The vibrant display at this busy gateway to India greets travelers with a sense of pride and festivity.

In Kolkata, the historic Calcutta High Court is shining brightly in the colors of the Indian flag. This imposing building, a symbol of justice and authority, now also stands as a beacon of national pride as it is adorned in the tricolor for Independence Day celebrations.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation headquarters in Mumbai has also been illuminated ahead of Independence Day. The grand building’s colorful display adds to the city’s festive spirit, enhancing the sense of unity and patriotism.

Another significant building in Kolkata, the Raj Bhavan, is glowing in the tricolor. The Governor’s official residence, with its historical and political significance, contributes to the city’s patriotic fervor with its colorful illumination.
