57% of men spent more on luxury in 2021 than before

The survey said 65% of affluent non-metro consumers shopped for luxury items "on a regular basis", compared with 53% shoppers of such items in metro cities.
Two out of three of the well-heeled consumers had "shopped for luxury online for the first time during Covid-19 restrictions", the report released on Friday said. According to it, 65% of online consumers of luxury goods said they were "eagerly waiting" for stores to open in their cities.
The survey said 26% Gen Z - or youngsters born after 1997 - associated luxury with travel and hospitality. Another 21% of the Gen Z respondents associated luxury with fashion and apparel.
