Government has initiated legal action under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, and other applicable rules and regulations in connection with the suspected spurious paneer.

Over the past two days, officials have also collected 22 enforcement samples of various food items from different districts across Delhi. The samples have been sent to designated laboratories for detailed analysis, and further action will be taken based on the test reports.

Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh said food safety remains a priority for the government, especially during the festive season when demand for milk products, paneer, sweets, edible oils and other food items rises sharply.
