40712 candidates qualify in JEE (Advanced) 2022; RK Shishir and Tanishka Kabra are male and female toppers

Total number of qualified general candidates is 15277 and that of Total number of qualified general (economically weaker sections) candidates is 5032. 9341 OBC-NCL have qualified, as have 7998 SC candidates and 3064 ST candidates.

IIT Bombay and IIT Madras zones have the maximum number of candidates in the top 100, with 29 each.
A total of 40712 candidates of the 155538 who appeared in both papers 1 and 2 have qualified in JEE (Advanced) 2022. RK Shishir of IIT Bombay zone is the top ranker in Common Rank List (CRL), scoring 314 marks out of 360. Tanishka Kabra is the top-ranked female with CRL 16. She obtained 277 marks out of 360.

According to a press release issued by IIT Bombay, the total number of boys that have qualified is 34196. Of the total qualified candidates, 6516 are female. Total number of qualified general candidates is 15277 and that of Total number of qualified general (economically weaker sections) candidates is 5032. 9341 OBC-NCL have qualified, as have 7998 SC candidates and 3064 ST candidates.

Vangapalli Sai Siddhartha has topped in the OBC-NCL category; Polisetty Karthikeya in GEN (EWS); Dayyala John Joseph in SC and Lovesh Mahar in ST category.


Ojas Maheshwari has ranked first among GEN-PwD; Gaikoti Vignesh in GEN-EWS-PwD; Omkar Ramesh Shirpure in OBC-NCL-PwD; Prakash S Rathod in SC-PwD and Tadar Simi in ST-PwD.

IIT Bombay and IIT Madras zones have the maximum number of candidates in the top 100, with 29 each. There are 22 candidates in the top 100 from the IIT Delhi zone; 11 from IIT Roorkee zone; 6 from IIT Bhubaneswar zone; 2 from IIT Guwahati zone and one from IIT Kanpur zone. IIT Delhi zone has the maximum number of candidates in the top 500 with 133; followed by the IIT Madras zone with 132 and the IIT Bombay zone with 126.
