4 killed on spot, several wounded in accident on Mumbai-Pune Expressway

According to the cops, three of the dead were identified as Gaurav Kharat (36), Saurabh Tulse (32), Siddharth Rajguru (31). The fourth victim is yet to be named. All of them were killed on the spot, they said.

In a horrific accident, four people lost their lives on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway today.

According to reports, a container trailer rammed into the vehicle they were travelling — a Maruti Swift — from behind at a traffic snarl. The accident was reported from Bhor ghat near Khopoli.

The deceased were from Solapur. They were going towards Mumbai.


A few other vehicles also crashed into the heap, causing a pile up. A total of seven people travelling in other cars were wounded.

The injured people were taken to MGM hospital in Kamothe, ToI reported quoting a senior inspector of Khopoli police station.
