275 Indian nationals remain missing in Nepal; 166 rescued so far, says Randhir Jaiswal
As many as 275 Indian nationals remain missing in Nepal, while 166 have been rescued so far, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said.

"As per our current information, 275 Indian nationals remain missing," Jaiswal said, adding that India remains in close touch with the Nepali government, Nepal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant state governments in India.

The MEA has been regularly releasing the names of Indians who have been rescued, Jaiswal said, while appreciating the efforts of the Nepalese authorities.


"So far, 166 Indian nationals have been rescued in Nepal," he said.

Meanwhile, 1,907 Indian nationals have safely crossed into Nepal from China, according to the latest information shared by the MEA.

Jaiswal also said that, as per official sources in China, there are no Indian travellers stranded in the Tibetan Autonomous Region of China.

India continues to coordinate with the concerned authorities in Nepal, China and Indian states regarding the status of Indian nationals, the MEA spokesperson said.
