The National Investigation Agency (NIA) announced a cash reward of '25 lakh on Thursday for any information leading to the arrest of fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, a key accused in the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts case.

The development comes at a time when a Financial Action Task Force team is in Pakistan to undertake onsite inspection over removal of the country from the 'grey list', which signifies increased monitoring over progress on measures related to curbing money laundering and terrorism financing.

The reward against the Pakistan-based mastermind was declared in connection with a first information report registered by the NIA in February in Mumbai.


The agency also announced a cash reward of '20 lakh on Ibrahim's close aide Shakeel Shaikh alias Chhota Shakeel and '15 lakh each on associates Haji Anees alias Anees Ibrahim Shaikh, Javed Patel alias Javed Chikna and Ibrahim Mushtaq Abdul Razzak Memon alias Tiger Memon, said officials. All of them are wanted accused in the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts case. The NIA has sought information about the accused which could lead to their arrest.
