20 year old woman stabbed to death in Hubballi for rejecting romantic advances
A 20-year-old woman, Anjali Ambigera, was brutally stabbed to death in Hubballi, Karnataka, allegedly by 23-year-old Girish Sawant, for rejecting his romantic advances. The incident has sparked outrage, with the victim's family accusing the police...

According to Anjali's sister, Yashodha, Girish had been harassing Anjali for some time and had even threatened her with a similar fate as Neha Hiremath, another young woman who was stabbed to death by her former classmate. Yashodha claimed that they had informed the police about the threats, but no action was taken.
Hubballi-Dharwad police chief Gopal Byakod confirmed the murder, stating, "The murder of a girl named Anjali has been reported within the jurisdiction near Veerpurra Oni Village. An assailant stabbed her to death this morning inside their house. We have registered the case and are currently investigating further to determine the motive behind this tragic incident."
Anjali's family and outraged locals staged protests in Hubballi, demanding justice for the young woman. The police assured them that they were working to apprehend the accused and that justice would be served.
This incident comes less than a month after the shocking murder of 23-year-old Neha Hiremath, who was stabbed to death by her former classmate Fayaz Khondunaik on a college campus. Fayaz reportedly attacked Neha multiple times, claiming that she had started avoiding him despite their previous relationship.
The police have launched a manhunt for Girish Sawant and are urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward. The investigation into Anjali's murder is ongoing.
