The meeting was held by the Union Home Affairs Ministry (MHA).
For the first time since violence broke out in Manipur in May last year, around 20 MLAs, including six belonging to the Kuki-Zo community, attended a dialogue seeking to resolve the differences between the Meitei and Kuki-Zo communities in New Delhi on Tuesday.

The meeting, held by the Union Home Affairs Ministry (MHA), was attended by MLAs of the Meitei, Naga, and Kuki-Zo communities as well as Lok Sabha MP and BJP's Northeast in-charge Sambit Patra. The meeting lasted for about two hours. "The meeting unanimously resolved to appeal to the people of the state from all communities to shun the path of violence so that no more precious lives of innocent citizens are lost," the MHA said.
