Two ships moved back to Mumbai on Thursday to disembark survivors and the mortal remains, as per the report available with the MHA.

“Adequate buffer stocks of oxygen cylinders, concentrators and ventilators were supplied to Covid-19 hospitals to avoid shortages,” said a senior government official. The National Crisis Management Committee headed by cabinet secretary Rajiv Gauba on Thursday reviewed damages caused due to the cyclone. Due to timely action, functioning of hospitals and Covid-19 care centres remained functional, said a home ministry statement.
