A tragedy unfolded during the annual fair of the Huskur Madduramma Temple when a 120-foot-tall temple chariot collapsed near Bengaluru on Saturday. A substantial crowd, comprising residents from over 10 villages, had assembled to participate in the event.


As of now, there have been no reported injuries resulting from the incident.


A video capturing the event went viral on social media platform X. The grant chariot that was built for the celebrations in Bengaluru Rural narrowly avoided striking an electric pole upon collapsing. The collapse led to chaos at the site as the individuals present rushed to ensure their safety. Every year, thousands congregate in Anekal for the festival, with the chariots serving as the main highlight.
