Why SBI UPI, netbanking, SBI YONO app and credit card not working? This could be the reason

Country's largest bank State Bank of India (SBI) offers a wide range of online payment services including Unified Payments Interface (UPI) platform, credit card, nebanking, SBI YONO app to its customers. SBI is one of the most popular digital payment provider in India. However, several SBI customers today reported issues with net banking and UPI. Several SBI customer took to microblogging site, Twitter to express their frustration with the slow service.

As per customers, the server is down or non-responsive services, including net banking, UPI payments, credit card and the official SBI app (YONO).

Downdetector, the website that tracks outages globally, has also reported the issue with SBI. The website reported a similar issue with the bank on Sunday too.


Here is what could be the possible reasons why SBI UPI is not working:
Server Maintenance: Banks regularly perform maintenance on its servers and systems to ensure they are up-to-date and functioning correctly. During this time, users may face difficulty in accessing the online payment services. Users need to check SBI's official website or social media pages for any information about scheduled maintenance. If maintenance is underway, users need to wait until it is completed, after which the online payment services should work correctly.

However, there has been no official statement about the outrage by the SBI today, but on the April 1st, SBI had announced the customers that the service of the platform will be down due to the annual closing activity, but it was stated by the bank, that the service will only be off from 13:30hrs to 16:45 hrs on a specific day.

Technical Glitches:
Another reason why SBI online payment services may not be working today is technical glitches in the system. Technical glitches can occur due to a variety of reasons, including server overload, software malfunction, or coding errors. In such cases, users need to wait until the technical issue is resolved by SBI's IT team. Typically, SBI resolves technical issues within a few hours, and users can then use the online payment services without any problems.
