Spam calls and messages: How to activate DND on Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone

However, there is a simple solution to keep the unwanted telemarketing calls at bay. All you have to do is activate the Do Not Disturb (DND) feature on your mobile network. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do it for networks like Jio, Airtel, and Vi.

To block all those pesky marketing calls and messages, follow these easy steps:
1. Open your phone's default messaging app.
2. Create a new message and type FULLY BLOCK in capital letters.

3. Send the message to the toll-free number 1909.

By following these steps, you can effectively block all telemarketing spam on your number. Moreover, you can use specific codes to block calls from different categories such as banking, real estate, education, and more. Here are the codes you can utilize:
- FULLY BLOCK for all categories
- BLOCK 1 for Banking/Insurance/Credit cards/Financial products
- BLOCK 2 for Real Estate
- BLOCK 3 for Education-Related Spams
- BLOCK 4 for Health
- BLOCK 5 for Consumer goods/automobiles/Entertainment/IT
- BLOCK 6 for Communication/Broadcasting
- BLOCK 7 for Tourism and Leisure
- BLOCK 8 for Food and Beverages

Simply send the relevant code to 1909 to block unwanted calls from specific sectors. You can also activate DND through your service provider's dedicated apps. Here's how to do it for Jio, Airtel, and Vi:

For Jio:
1. Open the MyJio app.
2. Tap on the Menu.
3. Select 'Profile & other Settings'.
4. Click on the 'Do not Disturb' button.
5. Tap on 'Set Preference' and submit the request.
