How to download voter ID card or elector's photo identity card (e-EPIC) online

In order to make it easier for you to exercise your voting right, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has made it easier for voters to download the elector's photo identity card (e-EPIC) online. This can become helpful in case you lose your original voter id card or misplace it.

The digital voter ID card also gives you an option to apply for a duplicate id card or change the address online. When you change the city or state you will not face the difficulty of making a new card every time. You can just change the address online and download the fresh voter ID card with an updated address.

e-EPIC is a PDF version of the EPIC. A voter can store the card on his/her mobile, upload it on Digi locker or print it and self-laminate it. This is in addition to PCV EPIC being issued by the Election commission.


Here is how you can download the voter ID card online
* To download the digital voter ID card, you have to visit the Election Commission's official website https://voterportal.eci.gov.in or https://nvsp.in/

*Register or Login to your account in the NVSP portal.

*Keep in mind that you need to have an account for login.

*If you don't have an account, you can create one with an e-mail id and mobile number.

*After creating the account, you will have to enter some details.

*After entering all details a login id will be created. Now login on the portal.

* After logging in, Enter EPIC Number or Form Reference Number and select the state.

* You will receive an OTP on your registered number

* Enter the OTP and you will get the option to download e-EPIC.

* Click on Download e-EPIC

*A PDF file of voter ID will be downloaded.

*You can save e-EPIC or print the ID card.
