When the heat goes up China's salt lake shows its true colours

An inland saltlake in China's Shanxi province, known as the country's 'Dead Sea', has become a popular tourist attraction after its waters turned an incredible pink and green in colour.

The lake was also in the news last year, when it turned blood-red because of the same algae. Thousands of curious tourists had turned up to witness the extraordinary sight.
