KOCHI: Kerala chief minister, V S Achutanandan, will inaugurate the 'Go Green' Initiatives of the thrissur based Catholic Syrian bank here tomorrow.

The chief minister will also release the 'Navathi' souvenir of the bank.

Bank DGM P V Antony told reporters here that the CSB had plans to freely provide about 100 solar lamps to poor students and 50 hawker lamps to street vendors throughout the state.

As part of the 'Go Green' initiative, two branches in thrissur would be using only solar energy to light their lamps and fans, he said. Gradually, this venture would be introduced in other branches as well.

Cochin Port chairman, N Ramachandran will distribute the free solar lamps to 5 students and free hawker lanps to street vendors and also launch the CSB free toll free number, Tessy Sebastian, assistant general manager (corporate marketing) said.
