KOTA: In a drive against production and use of re-cycled polythene bags, the Kota Municipal Corporation (KMC) will launch a campaign and conduct raids to enforce the law banning them in the district.

KMC officials would raid factories producing recycled polythene bags and seize the machines to flawlessly execute the ban on its production, an official said on Wednesday.

Besides, action would be taken against traders dealing in the business of such bags. Selling and buying would also be prohibited.

The KMC and the Rajasthan Pollution Control Board have already served notices to this effect on traders and factory owners.
