IMD to come out with summer temperature outlook this month end

NEW DELHI: The Earth System Science Organisation-India Meteorological Department (ESSO-IMD) will, for the first time, come out with a summer advisory and summer temperature outlook this year.

The temperature outlook, valid for the period April to June, will be issued by the end of this month.

"An extended range forecast (up to 15-days) of summer temperatures with a 5-day update will also be issued by the ESSO-IMD", said an official of the ministry of earth sciences.


He said these forecast assessments will, however, be issued on an experimental basis this year.
