Bishnois to celebrate World Environment Day

All India Bishnoi Mahasabha, established in the year 1936 for the protection of environment will celebrate the World Environment Day on June 5 at Guru Jambheswar Bhawan, Delhi.

CHANDIGARH: All India Bishnoi Mahasabha, established in the year 1936 for the protection of environment will celebrate the World Environment Day on June 5 at Guru Jambheswar Bhawan, Delhi.

In this function environment lovers and protectors will reaffirm their promise to save the trees and protect the wildlife, Arun Johar, Media Advisor, All India Bishnoi Samaj said.

He said that on this occasion a rich tribute will be paid to the 363 martyrs, who laid down their lives for protecting the trees in 1730 AD at village Khejarli near Jodhpur in Rajasthan.

Bhajan Lal, the newly elected HJC MP from Hisar will be the chief guest in the function. Malkhan SIngh, newly elected Congress MLA from Rajasthan, Ajay Bishnoi, BJP MLA from Madhya Pradesh and Salil Bishnoi, MLA Kanpur (UP) will also attend the function.

A detailed discussion will be held for sorting out the problem of environment pollution, Johar added.
