Vulture Awareness Exhibition in Mumbai this week

Bombay Natural History Society organizes a special two-day Vulture Awareness Exhibition on September 5 and 6 in Mumbai.

MUMBAI: On the eve of International Vulture Awareness Day(September 7), Bombay Natural History Society India (BNHS) is organizing a two-day Vulture Awareness Exhibition on September 5 and 6 from 11am to 5pm in its Hornbill Househall, opposite Lion Gate in Fort of Mumbai.

The interesting exhibition will give information about vulture species found in India, their role in the ecology, veterinary diclofenac and other threats faced by vultures, efforts to save vultures and the future.

On the second day, the exhibition will conclude with an interactive talk by Ian Barber of UK-based Royal Society for Protection of Birds (RSPB) and Kazveen Umrigar, followed by the screening of the film "Vanishing Vultures" on September 6, at 6pm at Hornbill House.

This exhibition will be beneficial for students, teachers, nature lovers and the general public.
