Five biodiversity parks will be set up in Uttar Pradesh to check the depleting fauna and flora species in the state.

LUCKNOW: Five biodiversity parks will be set up in Uttar Pradesh to check the depleting fauna and flora species in the state.

State Forest Minister Fateh Bahadur Singh said the department is identifying forest land for the project.

The parks will be set up at a cost of Rs five crore. Addressing a seminar organised on the occasion of International Biodiversity Day on Thursday, Singh said the forest department was concerned over the depleting fauna and flora species in the state and had set up a wildlife board to check it.
