Two wildlife smugglers arrested

Two suspected wildlife smugglers were today arrested and a couple of leopard skins recovered from their possession in Meerut district.

LUCKNOW: Two suspected wildlife smugglers were today arrested and a couple of leopard skins recovered from their possession in Meerut district.

On a tip off, Special Task Force of the state police arrested two persons from Hapur road bus stand in Meerut and recovered two leopard skins from their possession, Home department sources said here.

The arrested persons told police that the skins used to fetch them between Rs 60,000 and Rs one lakh and they were going to deliver them to one Atul of Mumbai, they said.
