Tortoise rescued

KOLKATA: A tortoise, weighing more than 20kg, was rescued from Dum Dum on Sunday evening. As forest officials expressed their inability to rescue it on a Sunday, the locals at Motilal Colony near the airport swung into action and handed it over to police. The tortoise will be kept at Dum Dum police station for the night till the foresters come and take its custody on Monday morning.
