Mysuru: A tigress was found dead at Nagarahole Tiger Reserve on Tuesday.

The field staff, who were on a regular beat, found the decomposed carcass of the animal, aged around 6. The wild cat is believed to have died two weeks ago.

Carcass spotted: Sources said when the staff spotted the carcass at Hole Halla in Nagarahole range of Virajpet taluk in Kodagu district at 11am, the body parts were intact and there were no wounds. Vet Dr Umashankar conducted a postmortem and sent the samples for analysis. tnn
