Tiger skins seized , two smugglers arrested
In a second case in last two months, two persons were arrested for allegedly smuggling tiger skins, police said.
Two tiger skins were seized from Mahasamund district, neighbouring Orissa, on Monday when they were being sold by two people for Rs 1.5 lakh each, they added.
The accused were caught red handed while selling skins, brought from Kanker district, police said, adding the duo had been booked under the Wildlife Protection Act.
The skin of a full grown tiger was seized from Kanker district of Bastar region last month and one person was arrested in that connection.
