'Tiger skin' seized in Vaishali district

The Biddupur police in Vaishali district on Saturday arrested two youths and seized skin, resembling like that of tiger skin, from their possession. Vaishali SP Paras Nath said that prima facie it seems to be tiger skin.
"We are taking help of forest department officials in ascertaining the seized material and then only it would be clear whether it is tiger skin or not," said SP.
Meanwhile, police officials at the Biddupur police station said that acting on a tip off that some persons were carrying tiger skin and tusks, a police team intercepted four persons, including Mukesh Kumar, Kailash Singh and Mukesh Das, and seized the skin from their possession.
However, two other persons managed to escape from the spot. Sub-inspector Manager Ram suspected that miscreants escaped with two bags, carrying tiger skin and other materials.
