Tiger cub found dead at Bandhavgarh reserve

Another tiger cub was found dead at Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve in Umaria district on Wednesday.The carcass of the six-month-old cub was found near Murar camp in the reserve, said sources.

BHOPAL: Another tiger cub was found dead at Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve in Umaria district on Wednesday. The carcass of the six-month-old cub was found near Murar camp in the reserve, said sources. This is the second such incident in a few days.

Earlier, a six-month-old tiger cub was found dead under mysterious circumstances near Tala range by the patrol party on Saturday. Both these cubs are siblings and died of starvation, said sources.

Forest officials claimed that they were weakest cubs abandoned by its mother. Officials once again ruled out any poaching attempt stating that all its body parts were intact, he added.

Meanwhile the officials of Panna Tiger Reserve placed a radio collar successfully on a tiger cub.
