Three Forest department employees chargesheeted
Jammu and Kashmir police filed a chargesheet against three persons for illegally drawing salary of a Forest Department employee while he was serving two years’ detention term under Public Safety Act (PSA).
The chargesheet was filed in a court here against beat officer Ghulam Ahmad Nengroo and forest range clerk Ghulam Qadir Dar for illegally drawing salary for two years in the name of another employee Bashir Ahmad Dar, who was under detention in a jail at Jammu, a spokesman of the Crime Branch said.
Bashir Ahmad Dar was also charged with the same offences as that of his brother Ghulam Qadir Dar, and the beat officer.
The spokesman said Bashir was arrested by security forces in 1992 and released in 1994 after serving two year detention under PSA but he was shown to be present on duty during that period also.
The beat officer and the range clerk had hatched a criminal conspiracy to draw the salary of the detained forest employee during the period of his detention, the spokesman said.
