Rhino found dead in Kaziranga
GOLAGHAT: A full grown rhinocerous, with its horn removed, was found dead in the world-famed Kaziranga National Park on Saturday.

This is the second such death in the last three days. The body of the male rhino, suspected to have killed by poachers on Friday, was found at Borkhola in Kohora range of the park, officials said.

Another full grown female rhino, with its horn missing, was recovered from Metei Chapori area in Burapahar range of the park on Thursday.

Park officials said poachers from neighbouring district of Karbi Anglong might have killed the rhino before escaping with its horn, which can fetch a high price in international market.

Three Karbi poachers have been identified by forest guards and they are suspected to be behind the killing of the animal, the officials said, adding a massive search operation has been launched to nab them.
