Leopard, 2 cubs found dead in Andhra
A leopard and two cubs were found dead in Andhra Pradesh's Medak district. Forest officials suspect it may be a case of poaching, as the nails of the leopard were missing.

SANGAREDDY (ANDHRA PRADESH): A seven-year-old leopard and two cubs were found dead in Andhra Pradesh's Medak district on Friday morning. Forest officials suspect it may be a case of poaching, as the nails of the leopard were missing.
A post-mortem is being conducted on the animals to determine whether the animals were poisoned or electrocuted. The report is expected in a week. Electrocution is not being ruled out as local farmers have been erecting electric fences to ward off wild animals.
Narsapur regional forest officer Balreddy told TOI that forest staff stumbled on the carcasses around 8.30 am near a roadside temple on the outskirts of Sherkhanpalli village in Hathnoor mandal, about 30 km from Sangareddy, the headquarters of Medak district.
They were lying at a distance of 100 feet from one another and the entire area reeked of urea, strengthening the theory that the cats might have been poisoned.
Forest officials said the animals might have been killed three days ago.
Balreddy said some body parts have been sent to the AP forensic science lab for tests. "We have also sought the viscera reports to unravel the mystery as to how the animals were killed," he said, adding that the skin of the three dead animals was intact.
