J&K sets up wildlife board

Jammu and Kashmir government constituted State Board for Wildlife with chief minister Omar Abdullah as its chairman.

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Government on Thursday constituted State Board for Wildlife with chief minister Omar Abdullah as its chairman.

The board was constituted under section 5 of the J-K Wildlife (protection) Act, 1978 and in super session of all previous orders on the subject, a government notification said.

Chief minister will be chairman and minister for forest Mian Altaf Ahmad its vice-chairman.
