Goa police still await for anaysis report in tiger claws case
Nearly three months after the forest department arrested three persons and recovered tiger claws from them, there is sign of any report of the laboratory analysis of the mishap.
Sources said that the accused will face stringent punishment if it is proved that the claws were indeed that of a tiger, as it would imply that the wild cat was killed by poachers.
“Many a time, people try to sell fake tiger claws to gullible customers. We will be able to build a strong case against the accused only if is confirmed from laboratory analysis of the samples that the claws were that of a tiger,” assistant conservator of forests, Vikas Dessai told TOI.
