Former 'Spice Girl' Geri Haliwell has taken her love for wildlife to the next level by adopting two lion cubs.

LONDON: Former 'Spice Girl' Geri Haliwell has taken her love for wildlife to the next level by adopting two lion cubs.

The pop star has adopted the two cubs, one boy and one girl and has named them Rudi and Aphrodite, reported News of The World online.

"I'm passionate about wildlife conservation, I love animals, especially lions. I'm delighted to add Rudi and Aphrodite to my family," said Haliwell, 36.

The cubs will remain at the Paradise Wildlife Park where they were born and the wildlife centre will let her have regular access and give her updates on their progress.

The park is working with the Global White Lion Trust to introduce the rare species back into the wild as only a few hundred are left in the world.
