Four poachers arrested in Raisen

RAISEN (MP): Four poachers were arrested along with the hide and body parts of a deer on Monday at Ghadi forest range near here, officials said.

"These accused, hailing from Bhopal, were nabbed after a tip-off that some poachers were looking for animals in the wild last night, area Deputy Ranger R K Tiwari said.

Tiwari said the forest field staffers searched for them and tracked down Mazhar, Ashique, Jaheer and Mohammed Yunus at a thatched house in a field in Ghadi range.

However, he said that one Asif managed to escape, adding that the accused have been booked under relevant sections of Wildlife Protection Act.
