Five-year-old Leopard found dead

UDHAGAMANDALAM: A five-year-old Leopard was found dead in a tea estate near Gudalur, about 40 km from here, forest department sources said.

Based on information, forest officials, including a veterinarian rushed to the spot, where the leopard's autopsy was carried out.

Though the symptoms suggested poisoning behind the death of the animal, the parts from stomach and viscera have been sent for laboratory test to Chennai, the sources said.
