Three people have been arrested who were trying to smuggle an endagered species of tortoise.

INDORE: Forest officials have foiled an attempt to smuggle an endangered species of tortoise, sources said today.
The tortoise has been seized from three men who were trying to smuggle it, they said, adding that the trio, however, managed to escape.
"Further inquiry has been ordered in the case," authorities explained.
